The Mustafa V. Koç Sports awards, started to honor the memory of Mustafa V. Koç, is inspired not only by his passion for sports in general but also by his commitment to sporting values.
Those who were lucky enough to get to know Mustafa V. Koç up close knew how passionate he was about sports. He himself loved to golf, play ice hockey, go yachting, skiing, horse racing, and water skiing, all integral parts of his life.
His name was a symbol not just for sports in general, but for his commitment to sporting values. He personified the Olympic values. In 2017, in collaboration with the National Olympic Committee of Turkey, the introduction of the Mustafa V. Koç Sports Awards represented an important initiative for the continuation of these values. He may no longer be with us, but his support to sports will continue on...
