To commemorate 25 years of 1907 Fenerbahçe Association's countless memories, we fit 16 famous presenters into a 40-minute show on stage.
It all started 25 years ago. Fenerbahçe player Hüseyin Çakıroğlu (also known simply as "the Doctor") scored a goal against Bordeaux that would enshrine himself into everyone's memory and the beginnings of the 1907 Fenerbahçe Association were born.
When the Doctor got sick 6 months after the Bordeaux match, some people started to wonder how they could help him. Ali Koç brought Fenerbahçe supporters together for this cause and didn't stop with that question, but asked "What can we do for Fenerbahçe?" After a 4-year effort many of Turkey's most important businessmen and under the umbrella of the Association, began working to serve the club they love: Fenerbahçe.
From this unity arose many great ideas and important projects, both for Fenerbahçe and for Turkey. The evening of September 21st, 2017 represented the 25th anniversary of the association and association president Ali Koç hosted the evening and used the event to remind everyone of those projects and their successes.
Typically in this situation, people make a 10-minute video (preferably desktop!) and put it on screen. We decided to take a slightly different route. We brought 16 of Turkey's most important artists together on stage and let the guests live out every minute of an 8-part original stage show. Which famous celeb wasn't up there! Nejat İşler, Selçuk Yöntem, Meltem Cumbul, Gökçe Bahadır, Sarp Akkaya, Kadir Doğulu, Furkan Palalı, Tülin Şahin, Fahir Atakoğlu, Ercan Saatçi, Bedri Baykam, Ege Kökenli, Sinan Bayraktar, Ceyda Düvenci, Emre Karayel and many other names who've given their hearts to Fenerbahçe.
And it wasn't just the screen, we utilized the entire location for the live performance that was the highlight of the evening. The show used a lot of film techniques to heighten reality and was scored with original music. A simulation of Atatürk's voice was made just for this show and the lines he personally wrote into Fenerbahçe's notebook were immortalized (Minute 22:15). The live broadcast over YouTube meant that all of Fenerbahçe could watch.
Members of 1907 serve Fenerbahçe with love and carry the torch for the club, and so we worked with an equal amount of love on finding creative ideas. If you haven't watched it yet, please be our guest!
