DEALERS’ DEALER: KOÇ DEALERS’ HOME

KOÇ GROUP

Koç Holding, cerator of the first dealership system in Turkey and organized the first dealer meeting in 1951, wanted to create a meeting place in the digital world for its more than 10 thousand dealers spread all over Turkey. We designed a corporate identity for the Koç Dealer website, which was to reflect the dealership organization.

One of the issues pioneered by Koç Holding in Turkey, which has achieved countless firsts in many fields since the day it was founded, is dealership and dealer organizations. Koç Group, which has managed to bring together its dealers in many different formats over the years, from classical dealer meetings to Anatolian Meetings, has recently opened the Koç Dealer website, where all its dealers will be members. This new platform, which dealers will use for news, information, training and communication, of course also needed a corporate identity work.

In order for the Koç Dealer site to have a corporate identity in line with its spirit and mission, we set out to work with Ela Kutay, with whom we had previously created the corporate identity of the Fink application. First of all, we wanted the corporate identity design we would come up with to reflect the fact that Koç Group and its dealers are an inseparable duo. We should not stray too far from Koç's corporate identity, but we should create an innovative and fresh atmosphere. Another important point for us was that the identity of the Koç Dealer site made us feel its diversity, sharing and strong bond with its consumers. At the end of the preliminary studies, we decided on a grid-like visual element that evokes a system but prioritizes the differences within the system through the logic of using colors.

We wanted the color scale to be dominated by "red", the main color of Koç Holding. However, we went a bit out of habit by choosing a slightly different shade of red. Instead of making a random choice, we determined the colors in the mosaic texture that dominates the identity by using the color palettes of the brands that make up the Koç Group. This colorfulness manifested itself intensely in both the emblem and the logotype.

While the Koç Dealer website reveals the power of being a family, it also embraces different colors and characters within the family. Just like Koç Group has been doing for nearly 100 years!
