We envisioned the brand identity of Turkey’s new cinema chain, Sinemay, as a reflection of pure cinematic pleasure—from its emblem to its typography.
Sinemay set out to offer a delightful alternative to the standard movie theater experience in Turkey. The brand’s promise is built on the idea that a cinema should feel warm, welcoming, and friendly—a space where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together and embark on a comfortable journey into the magical world of film.
With this perspective in mind, we collaborated with designer Hikmet Yeğenağa to create a brand identity that feels vibrant, warm, and inviting. To reference the ever-evolving nature of art, we abstracted one of cinema’s most universal symbols—the film strip—and turned it into Sinemay’s emblem. We infused the brand with energy by choosing a distinct shade of yellow that adds life and character.
The result is a cohesive identity that expresses the joy of cinema in every detail—from stationery and tickets to accounting materials, digital signatures, popcorn buckets, and signage. This design instantly sets Sinemay apart from others in the industry and marks the beginning of Sinemay’s journey.
