The story of Setur Marinas, which began in Çeşme in 1978, continues today with 10 marinas, making it one of the few chain brands in the Mediterranean basin. Our film, which captures the philosophy and promise of the brand, centers on the magic of discovery and the uniqueness of the experience.
If you're going to create a brand film for Turkey’s largest chain of marinas, you first have to embrace the challenge of a long journey. This route begins at the Kalamış & Fenerbahçe Marina in Istanbul, continues through Yalova and Ayvalık, and heads south via Çeşme—with a detour to Lesbos (Midilli). From there, you move along the Mediterranean coast, pausing in Kuşadası, Marmaris, and Kaş, before reaching Antalya via Finike. That’s exactly what we did—and after 24 days of filming, we spent just as much time in the studio to complete the brand’s very first image film.
Of course, we began with a strong focus on strategy for this English-language production. We sought to deepen and enrich the brand’s long-standing theme, Sail to new horizons, by layering it with complementary ideas. From this perspective, we placed the thrill of adventure, the richness of experience, and—most importantly—the magic of discovery at the heart of the narrative.
One of the film’s most compelling features is how it seamlessly weaves together footage from 10 different marinas to give the impression of a single, cohesive location. To achieve this, we carefully pre-planned the camera angles and movements at each shooting point. When these visuals came together with Özgür Buldum’s exquisite musical score, we knew we had achieved our goal.
For us, creating Setur Marinas’ image film became more than just a professional project—it turned into a remarkable journey and a deeply personal experience. We believe that as you watch the film, you'll also feel part of this story. And wasn’t that our goal from the very beginning?
